Our Story

An annual event in downtown Cullman

The inaugural Dinner on First was held on May 14th, 2016. The event benefited the proposed Connected Park Project, a concept that would impact the recreational play of children no matter their age or ability. We achieved this goal in 2018, opening the Connected Playground at Margaret Ingle Park.

Dinner on First offered an opportunity for the Cullman community to come together as one to benefit something meaningful, and it provided a splendid moment in time in which residents could connect with their friends and neighbors, as well as the Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism Foundation Board members who have gone to extraordinary lengths making the gathering a night to remember.

Food for Dinner On First is catered by Birmingham-based Dyron’s Lowcountry, with the main meal being farm-to-table style.

All proceeds directly benefit the amphitheater at the newly renovated Art Park.
